A report to the Knesset subcommittee on Trafficking in Women released a report in 2005 stating that 3,000 to 5,000 women were trafficked to Israel to work as prostitutes between the years 2001 to 2005.

3 million opiate users in Iran
According to the 2006 International Narcotic Control Strategy, there are an estimated 3 million opiate users in Iran, with “60 percent reported as addicted to various opiates and 40 percent reported as casual users.”
